Interested in what size the front staked sight has and also if the rear dovetail is a standard 1911 A1 size. Any problems you ran into or any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

WebFeb 20, 2009 · I beat the crap out of the sight, it didn't budge and the rear sight was now a piece of crap. This might sound crazy, but it worked. I placed a common ice cube on top of the rear sight and let it set for several minutes until it was almost melted away. The sight tapped right out of the dovetail with very little effort.
