WebSep 6, 2024 · In a completely stock 5.0 the stock H.O. cam and the B303 make basically the same power in different rpm ranges which supports your statement. But that's not the result of the cam. It's a result of the intake and heads and exhaust. They're highly restrictive. WebJul 3, 2024 · I picked up a pair of the 96-early 97 Explorer 5.0L GT40 3 bar heads ( not the GT40P ) for my 5.8L They have the standard plug placement But they don't have the smaller combustion chambers like the GT40P heads do. WebJun 1, 2010 · I got the gt 40 heads (non P's) with the e cam in my 86 right now. Personally i like how my car sounds and also i felt a noticable power difference. If your not looking for something too big, then the e cam would be a good choice, from what i heard from many on here, they dont like the alphabet cam.
