Vitamin C is an essential co-factor required for the hydroxylation of proline and lysine and subsequent collagen synthesis. Its deficiency leads to the production of unstable pro-collagen chains predisposing to weakened bones and increased susceptibility to fractures. WebHi again Marooned5. 😊.
